Hot Denim Looks To Wear Now

Hot Denim Looks To Wear Now

Sure, some say that the denim jacket is back – but did it ever go out of fashion? I’d like to think not. The denim jacket has long become a staple piece in everyone’s wardrobe, even if it’s far back in your wardrobe amongst the “I may wear that again” pre-loved threads. There are several hot denim looks to wear now; revive your look and stay on trend.

Buttoned up denim

Not only have we been wearing denim jackets as an iconic overlay piece for some 70 years, it’s also becoming a fast global trend in fashion to wear it buttoned up – yes, all the way up as though it were a shirt (because of its simplicity, it looks really cool). When wearing a buttoned up denim jacket, I would suggest a shirt underlay. But not all of us dare to be cray with this modern trend. You can play it safe by dressing it with a cute dress, either maxi or mini – safe or not, it’s a super cute look, especially come spring.

Celebrities and skirts

Various celebs have rocked denim well with a simple dark coloured skinny jean and a white oversized shirt. I do love to wear my denim jackets with a high waist pencil skirt and long sleeve crop top. I then cute it up with a pair of ruched sheer knee high stockings and boots.

Denim for a casual weekend – stay away from flares

For a more casual weekend look, I also wear a fitted midi casual dress, my light washed crop denim jacket and white canvas sneakers. As we all know the denim does layer well, saying this, denim on denim has set to trend, and yes I have attempted the look and LOVE it. Now I must admit, back in the very early 2000s, I did rock the Sass and Bide light wash denim flare jean (please don’t come back in fashion) with matching jacket, and I thought I was so cool, but you wouldn’t catch me teaming same shade denim these days.

I do prefer the darker shade denim as the jean paired with either a grey marle or white top and a lighter washed denim jacket. Regardless the denim colour, the denim ages so well. Play it with prints or keep it simple with such tones as, cream, white, grey or black.

Denim is versatile. Use your creativity

In the end, denim goes well with just about anything. So ladies: filter through your pile of denim, as we all have a collection somewhere and no matter what shade, find it, revive it and rock it. Eleni xo
