To capture the ladylike look, the aim is to create clean perfect brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, and a pretty pink lip. Recreate this makeup look with these simple steps:
First, prime the skin. Apply under your foundation to improve your complexion and help your makeup last longer. Try MAC prep and prime skin or Inglot Under Makeup Base.
Apply eye shadow base to your lid – Without properly priming your lid first, your eye shadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease. I used deChabre Indelible Creme Eye Shadow in bare necessity.
For the eye shadow, grab a trio of shades and blend all three shades together for maximum effect like deChabre Eyeshadow Trios in Sunrise. You want to use choose a light Dusty Coral shade, darker golden coral shade and a warm brown matt shade. Start with the lightest colour and apply all over the eye, add the darkest to the lids only and focus on the corner outer area of the eye blend blend blend and then add the middle shade to the middle of the eye lid and blend again.
Take a creamy black pencil— Trace the upper and lower lashes with black liner, then trace over that with a dense eye shadow brush or sponge and black shadow and blend into each other.
Tidy eyebrows are a must for this look. Take a brow pencil and powder. The pencil is for bald spots. Use short, light strokes to draw in missing hairs. The powder is to make brows look thicker. Load some on an angled brush and gently stroke through the entire brow. Finish by running a spooley or old clean mascara brush to comb through to blend.
Sweep cheeks with a coral coloured blush. I used deChabre Powder Blush in Melon (my new holy grail blush).
Curl lashes and add several coats of mascara. Just place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand and don’t forget to apply to bottom lashes as well.
Finish with a nude lip liner that’s slightly pink and fill in with a matt matching shade. You can never go wrong with a MAC pencil in Spice, or Bobbi Brown’s new Rich Lip Colour in Heather Pink.
